There has a form for sender with one field “Recipient” and one button “Send”.sender just select who is recipient then click button “Send”.
recipient will receive an email with some text msg with “Acknowledge” button. he/she click this button will update the status of the form which is send by sender.
my question is how to code the “Send” button to trigger email with BUTTON to receipient?
any help will be greatly appreciated
Subject: how to include button in email?
Hi
If the recipient is a notes user, and the mail will be sent purely notes to notes (i.e. no SMTP conversion), then you can inlude the form within the sent message. In script you could do it by changing the name of the form on the document being sent (to a form which is laid out as you want the received mail to be, including the button) and then use
doc.save(TRUE, recipient)
If the mail is to non-notes users, then there’s not a lot you can do as the SMTP conversion will strip out the button. Your best bet is to add some kind of Web link to the mail with a “click here to acknowledge”. this can link to a web agent. The link would need to include some kind of identifier as to what the user is aknowledging, but other than that should be pretty straightforward.
