How to give edit authority of perticular section in web

i use a button for editing the field in web and I have used @command (editdocument)but it is editing whole document instead of one field so how I give the restriction for one field

Please add that field into Controlled Section and in the second tab of Controlled section properties, you can write a formula to compute the persons name who should be able to edit that section. No need to provide a button if you make a scetion as controlled section.

thanks vinay for your response but i donn’t think that control section work in web.and without use of edit button how can i make save document as edit mode in web.if there is any alternative please respond me

Rupesh,

Create a section in DHTML and keep inside

or . Keep the edit button on the top of the section or somewhere near around. Edit button will be only visible or workable to those ppls who have rights. On click of button right just change HTML FIELD attribute to readonly=0 or readonly=1 .Check ths things in web if u wish to get more details …
