How to force outgoing mail queues to send

At the moment we have a massive mail backlog due to an outage and trying to tell the mail server to resend mail.

Domino seems to be trying to send only 100 or so mails roughly every 15 minutes.

Is there a way to force the entire queue of mail to send at once ?

I have experienced that it also could be an dns/relay issue.

Sounds slow, how many mail threads/mailboxes do you have?

I think Domino 8 defaults to 8 threads, you could try setting mailmaxthreads=12 or 16 (don’t think that ini setting is obselete in 8 is it?)and having multpile mail.boxes

Subject: Route * makes not difference

We had actually tried this and it didn’t seem to actually make much difference, the server just continued on sending it’s 100 or so mails every 15 or so minutes.

The backlog has cleared over night but there is either a bug or there has to be a better answer for the future.
