I’m trying to figure out a way to count whenever a user opens, views, or saves and attachment. I’d like to record the instance, maybe the DocID of the parent document and the time. Anyone have an idea?

Not sure if it’s possible to create a client add-on using C/C++ toolkit, which hooks on attachment events. I think it is the only way to accomplish this in Notes client, if possible at all.
In web client, you can hide the real attachment and use a link to an agent(or servlet), which logs the access and redirect to the real attachment.
