How to configure eclipse

Hi,

I m a developer and new in use domino 8.5.

Can anyone tell me which eclipse version is supported on domino and how to configure this for lotus development.

Subject: Designer IS Eclipse now…

  • If you’ve installed R8.5 you have all you need, including another instance of Eclipse that’s part of the Notes directory. Simply open Designer and you’re using Eclipse without any additional configuration.- I can’t address how to use a separate instance of Eclipse as Designer. In theory that should be doable, but it may be simpler to integrate your other projects with DDE than the other way around.

Subject: Depends on the version you are using.

If your talking about Domino development then as mentioned designer is built on eclipse.

If you are doing plugins development then you need to check the version against the version of XPD.

XPD toolkit 6.1.2 uses Eclipse 3.2 for Notes 8.0.2 (as far as I remember).
