How to compose

Hi,I do not see a link on the web interface of the Domino Blog where a normal user can compose something. There is a link called ‘Admin’ and only administrators can access it and compose documents etc.

That’s how blogs usually work – only blog admins (designated authors) can create blog posts; others are restricted to adding comments.

Hi Stan,Got it to work !!..Actually you need to add ‘<$DXAddContent$>’. I put it there on the SideBlock.

Glad to hear it. I haven’t had a chance to work with Steve’s template since the very early days of his ProjectDX – I’m sorry I couldn’t have been of more help to you with this.

Hi Stan,Isn’t there any other way of doing it? I mean , have the users add posts etc. The database has three roles , [Admin] , [Webadmin], [Webcompose] and I thought giving the [Webcompose] role would give the users the right to post.

DominoBlog is a template included in the Domino server install since 7.0.2 – it’s Steve Castledine’s ProjectDX blog template, which IBM acquired when they hired Steve.

Hi Alex, I tried using both (Dominoblog.ntf) the one by Steve Castledine and the one which came with Domino 8. None of them have a feature where users can add topics etc through the web interface :frowning:
