How to automatically add sender's address to personal address book?

Hi I have done a search on this forum and in Notes Help but have not found a relevant document.

We have a number of remote users running Notes 6 clients. I seem to recall that there is a user setting in Notes mail that when enabled, adds the mail senders to the personal address book, if they are not already in there.

Is there such a setting and if so where?

Many thanks

I don’t know, sorry. I would also be a little worried about automating this, they will end up with a lot of rubbish entries. There is also the issue of duplicates.

As a manual task it is very easy, just select the Add Sender from the Tools menu in the Inbox (not from the Menu bar). This is simple and most users can cope with a menu.

It’s easy to achieve, a scheduled After mail arrive agent will do it,----you need to check duplication.

The question is that do you really need such kind of automation?

HiThe request came from some users who have used other mail apps previously.

I am/was concerned with all the unwanted rubbish getting into the address book buut the users weren’t concerned since they said they don’t get many unwanted emails.

I didn’t want to write an agen if there is already a solution in Notes/Domino. But I guess now I’d better write one.

Thank you all for posting.
