How to access Verse settings in a Mail-In database?

Domino/Notes Version: Release 12.0.2FP5HF8
Add-on Product (if appropriate, e.g. Verse / Traveler / Nomad / Domino REST API): Verse
Its Version: 3.2.6 IF1
Operating System: Linux
Client (Notes, Nomad Web, Nomad Mobile, Android/iOS, browser version): Firefox 151.0.4

Problem/Query:

Users whith Editor access to a shared Mail-In database can edit the preferences (such as editing the signature) or create mail rules when they are logged in to iNotes.

When these users are using Verse, they don’t have access to the Verse settings of the shared Mail-In database. The top right menu shows only “Change my picture”. The template is mail12.ntf / StdR12Mail / 12.0.2 (02.09.2022).

We plan to upgrade to Domino 14.5.1 where iNotes is no longer installed. How can the Verse settings of shared Mail-In databases, especially mail signatures and mail rules be managed in Verse?

It seems that Verse settings of Mail-In databases (at least the mail signature) cannot be edited without iNotes!

I found several Ideas which addresses this problem. The most recent is this one:

Some workarounds I used :

  • Open the mail DB from a Notes client to set the preferences
  • Create a temporay web user as the owner of the mail db

Indeed there are still some annoying missings in Verse that makes hard to really do the switch to full Verse. For me, Mail-in dbs and Resources dbs have since long been the big forgotten of web access.
