How prevent properties box from popping up automatically in designer

Hello

I remember at Lotusphere 2003 session that someone said you could disable the automatic popup of the properties box each time you open a design element in domino desinger 6 with (i think) a notes.ini variable.

Anyone have a clue what it might be?

Or where to look?

Why on EARTH is this not a checkbox control in the interface yet? This question must be asked once a quarter.
