As a technical support person, I send a lot of email to clients that basically consist of personalized information and “boilerplate” or pre-composed text snippets.
In MS Outlook, there is a concept of Signatures. These can be as simple as your name, or as complex as you’d like. When composing your email, you can select INSERT from the menu bar, SIGNATURE from the drop-down box and be shown a list of all the pre-composed signatures. Selecting one will automatically add it to the memo/email. You can go back and append more of them too.
This is just two quick mouse movements to add boilerplate to a note. I currently have a separate notes database containing boilerplate items and have to cut and paste them into my notes.
Is there a simpler method available to Lotus Notes users?
