How do I disable content assist? Or at least change its popup timeout?

  • I normally do only XPages in R8.5, and I get less annoying pop-up crud there. Today I’m doing LS in R8.5 and I continually see the “content assist” pane popping up over the top of what I’m doing. It’s like a mosquito when you’re trying to sleep … not horribly annoying the first time it lands on your nose, nor the second, but the hundredth time the pressure cooker is going to blow.- How do I turn that freaking thing off in LotusScript? Forever.

  • I searched preferences (excellent ability, btw) for “content” and turned off every single thing that looked even remotely like it was related to content assist. I would have listed them all here, but while preferences is on-screen all other Notes and Designer windows are locked up tight. There were nearly a dozen places where I made sure things were TURNED OFF.

  • Yet content assist is still there “helping” me.

  • I did notice that while every single type of editor in system seems to have its own settings, a nice feature, LotusScript never appeared as an editor type. I suspect someone has committed the heinous faux pass of hard-coding this. If so I’d like to know that so I won’t keep looking for a way to turn it off.

Thanks for your time…
