How do I Compact -B using the DBMT tool?

Domino/Notes Version: 14.0 FP2 HF39
Operating System: Windows

Problem/Query:
How do I the equivalent of Compact -B using the DBMT tool in a program document?
I find nothing in searches or in the help.

Hi Dave,

Per product documentation, DBMT tools uses copy-style compact method.

Having other compact option for DBMT is a good idea for enhancement.

The DBMT documentation seems to suggest it carries out copy style compact ( -c most likely and maybe not -C).

Domino dbmt tool performs “copy-style” compact operations. Along with copy-style compaction DBMT does the following.

  • Incremental View Indexing
  • Full Text Index update and rebuild
  • Folder Reorganizing
  • Deletion Stub Purging
  • Expiring of Soft Deleted Entries
  • Updating of Unread Lists
  • Fixup of Corruption

Hello Dave,

The DBMT tool perform copy style compaction along with the other process such as

  • runs copy-style compact operations
  • purges deletion stubs
  • expires soft deleted entries
  • updates views
  • reorganizes folders
  • merges full-text indexes
  • updates unread lists
  • ensures that critical views are created for failover
