How do i change the default iNotes spell checker?

Does anyone know how to change the default iNotes spell checker? User’s can change the spell checker dictionary but it seems to be session based. I need to change the server’s default spell checker.

I can’t find any reference to it anywhere.

Thanks

Chris

Did you find (or someone else) already a solution for this; I’ve been looking around and did find the needed info neither.

Our servers are Domino 6.5 English servers running on AIX, but we want to offer Dutch as standard spell checker with the web access client.

Thx a lot for the help.

Hi,

I got a problem with this issue as well…

We have a problem with choosing Swedish as default spell checker dictionary on Domino Web Access instead of default English.

Domino server version is 6.5.2 with Swedish language pack.

Thanks for your assistance.

Best Regards

Did you work this out? I still have this problem, even with 6.5.3

How do you change the server’s ‘default’ dictionary? I even tried renaming the us.dic file

That´s our problem too. We need to change the default dictionary to Spanish. There´s no information provided, and we don´t know what to do.

We are using domino 6.5.2.

Any help will be appreciated.

The file that use the Inotes Spell checker is the wpdic.dic (originally it´s a copy of us.dic). So, you only have to make a copy of your preferred dic (espanol.dic) and rename to wpdic.dic

I hope that it help you

Hello!!! I think I have the solution for this problem and it consist of renaming the dictionary we want to use as the default one, for the default dictionay name (in our case UD.dic).

Example:

default spell checker file----> US.dic

my spell checker -----> espana.dic SO I EXCHANGE THE DICTIONARIES’ NAMES, SO THE SERVER FINDS THE DEFAULT DICTIONARY US.DIC BUT THE CONTENT IS THE ESPANA.DIC.

Conclussion—> Domino finds what it’s looking for, and we use what we need.

I hope this help.

New ideas will be appreciated.
