How can I route mail from an old mail.box?

I had some server trouble yesterday, and in the process, I had to rename the mail.box so a new one would be created.

I can still open the old mail.box and see pending messages.

Is there a clever way that I can move these messages to the active mail.box, and retain the original sender’s name? I know that I can copy/paste, but I’m afraid the “sender” will show up as me or the server name.

copy & paste is the easiest way.

At the Domino console, “tell router q” - this will stop the router.

Copy and paste the messages into the new mail.box

Since the router is stopped, you can verify that the sender addresses are not changed.

When you’re satisfied, “load router” at the server console, and the copied messages will route.

(The issue you’re worried about doesn’t occur with D6. It was a R5 ‘feature’ that has been removed from the mail.box template)

Copy and Paste works fine. The sender details are retained
