How can i find if the Notes version is 32 or 64 bit on Mac?

Hi,

i have not much experience with the Notes-client on Mac so apologies if this is a trivial question.

I have a user who uses IBM Notes 9.0.1 on his Mac.
He wants to upgrade his OS to “El Capitan”. I found here the information that you need to have the “IBM Notes 9.0.1 64-bit for Macintosh” installed. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21962311 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21962311
(and not the 32-bit version)
How can he check if his version is 32 or 64bit?
If he opens the “About” dialog he gets this info:

IBM Notes 9
Social EditionRelease 9.0.1
Revision 20131022.0932 (Release 9.0.1)
Standardkonfiguration
L-GHUS-968PRV

Thank you in advance,

Lars

Subject: Seems yours is 32-bit one.

In my MacNotes About dialog, it shown “Release 9.0.1 (64-bit) SHF692”, where SHF692 means I have installed MacNotes 64-bit IF3, so I guess your Notes is still 32 bit.

Subject: 64 bit will be labeled

With something like this in the About dialog:

Release 9.0.1 (64-bit)
Revision 20150916.0754-EXT (Release 9.0.1 (64-bit))
Standard Configuration
L-GHUS-9Z3KRF

Subject: About dialog box

Hi Lars,

The 64 bit Mac client all show 64 it in the release info in the about dialog for example it would be Release 9.0.1 (64-bit)
So when you don’t see the 64 -bit you can be sure its 32 bit.
