This would be a great place to show off what Sametime can do. This website should showcase real world what your products can do.

Thanks for the feedback! Persistent chat is already covered by both OpenNTF and the DXers community using Discord, and we don’t want to conflict with those initiatives. Both teams have put in a lot of effort to set up and manage their infrastructures. We’ve left DMs in, primarily for quick communication.

Yes, they do. And everything else here can mostly be found somewhere else. There are multiple facebook groups, linkedin groups, slideshare, PlanetLotus that collectively provide everything here. If the only purpose is to provide another place for these, then what is the purpose of this site?

Every touch point HCL has with customers, prospective customers, and the public is a public relations opportunity that collectively creates the public image and customer experience. When I see “Powered by Discourse” at the bottom of every page rather than “Powered by Domino” or at least “Powered by HCL” it leaves me asking “What do they know that I don’t know?” I see a PR opportunity squandered. #MissedOpportunity

I will suggest you check out Paul Withers post here Why Discourse? about the decision to use Discourse. That wasn’t a decision made lightly.

Thank you for the link to Paul’s post. His explanation makes sense. This is site was created on the side, not as a mission-critical need in comparison to other tasks.
You might consider using this as an opportunity to develop app templates that could be rolled back into your product, adding value to the products you sell and moving development of this from an expense to an asset.
