Hotspots are removed from email body

Hi,

I found several posts about this problem but no solutions. I cannot send anyone with Notes a button/hotspot anything. I create it fine, I send it and when they open it the link has been stripped out.

I am the Notes developer for my company and the easiest thing to do when getting a user to test is send them an email with a link and I have been unable to do that since upgrading to the full Notes 8 client. Our environment set up our mail server is at 8, I have installed full client 8 and the bulk of the company is running Notes 7.0 client. I have sent to people in the company that have the full 8 and they don’t get the links either.

I am at a complete loss at to where to look for the problem so any and all suggests would help.

Subject: Resolution

I called IBM. I basically got a corrupted desktop6.ndk file after the upgrade and it corrupted the names.nsf locally. I renamed the names file, delted the ndk file, deleted the cache, cleared the ini file (minus the first three lines that is) and re-launched Notes. ** You now have to open the renamed names file and copy out your contacts to the new names.nsf.I had suspected the names file but my the problem was I was not deleting the ndk file - never thought problem would be there.
