I have been trying to set my Home Portal Account preferences–to go along with the Exploring New Features of IBM Lotus Domino 8 Administration–and have been unable to get them to stay. I originally tried to set them with a Profile Document and when that didn’t work, I deleted the profile document and tried just setting the Home Portal Account in the user preferences. One of my co-workers said I needed to use “PORTAL FORM” as my choice for AUTHENTICAL TYPE. I can set it to PORTAL FORM but when I exit the notes client and then come back in that value has been reset to a J2EE-FORM and I don’t connect to my server. I have tried to find where these values are stored but have been unsuccessful. Additionally, when I was teaching this class last week the dialog box for this became corrupt and we received an error stating “This form contains invalid values”–but since I couldn’t find the form and didn’t know where it was, there was no way to get rid of the problem. Luckily it happened on the last day and it did not happen to all of us, so we were still able to continue with the class. Where are these values kept?
