Hierarchal name chage problem

Hi,In my organization, canonical names of the employees are changed but the shortid remains same.

As for example my canonical name will change from “Anjali Singh/FSS/Conexant” to “Anjali Singh/GSG/Conexant” but me shortid will remain same as asingh10.

Now problem will occure with old lotus notes documents where in readers, authors field or any text field, my name appears as my old canonical name “Anjali Singh/FSS/Conexant”.

We have so many (arount 200,000) documents like this where name will require to be changed.

Is there any tool which can handle this problem and find name everywhere in the documents and change this with new canonical name?

Or is there any command on server which can change old canonical names with the new canonical name of the user.

Anjali, have you tried marking serveral people and choosing People - Renamne - Upgrade to Hierarchical ?Then you can choose which ID-file you want to use (GSG or FSS for example)

AdminP will handle the Reader/Author fields for you.

Thanks Susan,I also studied yesterday and found AdminP task is very helpful for these kind of task. AdminP will change all readers, authors, names and acl of the database.
