Hiding views from the view menu

Hi all,

I want to hide certain views if particular role was not given in the ACL. That is done and I have hided the views in the outline but still I can see the views if I go through View -> GoTo in the view menu.

So How to hide the view in the “view” menu also. If I select the property the property “Do not show this design element in the menus” of the view design property, I can able to hide the views in the “view” menu also.

But then if I open the view form “Outline”(left side navigation), Iam getting an error “Invvalid or nonexistent document”…

Can anyone help me to hide the views in the view menu without affecting the above said issue.

Suggestions will be appreciated…

In the view properties, go the last tab (the key).Here you can define who can use/see the view.

Uncheck ‘All readers and above’

Check the roles that are allowed to see the view.

Now the ones who are not allowed to use the view also cannot see the view in the view-menu.
