I have rich text field set to hide when copied to clipboard. It works when text is typed in, but when text is copied from other fields (eg. email) it inherits those properties and the text does not hide when forwarded. I have to manually highlight the text and set it to hide to clipboard. This particular field is encrypted, but I find it happens on regular rich text fields as well.Does this happen to anyone else??
Subject: Known behavior of rich text.
A rich text field contains it’s own hide when properties on the contents of the field. As you can see, if you paste in content from somewhere else the hide when from the source comes along with the text. If you really want a lot of detail about rich text try visiting the products page at geniisoft (Genii Software | Products). There’s a Rich Text 101 side bar. Ben Langhinrichs is probably the worlds foremost export on rich text and all it’s quirks.
