Hide columns in embedded view

Hi

I have a form with a Status field. Field values can be numbers from 0 to 6.

I have an embedded view in the form with 7 columns…

ColA, colB, colC, colD, colE, colF and colG.

colA is a categorized column needed to show only the associated documents in the form.

I need to show colf and colG on the embedded view, only when Status filed value is 3, 4 or 5.

i was trying to use the ‘Hide column if formula is true’ in colF and colG. Formula is :

Status != 3:4:5 ( ihad also tried ‘Status != 3 & Status != 4 & Status != 5’, ‘Status <3 | Status > 5’)… and it jus don’t work.

Is there any way to make this to work ?

Thx in advance

Subject: Hide columns in embedded view

Hi,

Instead of hiding the columns in the view. Use 2 views. One view with all the columns and other view with required columns. Then in the embedded view dont give the view name. Write the formula here like @if(status!=3…;“second view”;“first view”). Hope this will work.

Using the embedded view. you can limit the catagories to calculate based on your status. So, you can work around this. But, you won’t be able to hide the cols based on the status of the document which holds the embedded view.
