Hidden Documents

I have some hidden documents in my mailfile that I cannot view at all. If I make a copy of my mailbox and delete all the documents in it, the

document count of the database still remains at 10, even though the

documents are not viewable in any view at all. I have created all kinds

of customized views to display all the possible document types, but

nothing works.

One thing I did notice by using NotesPeek was that when I view the

documents in this program they have a document type of "Untitled (stored

form)". The weird thing is that I can do a “collection.count” and it does

tell me the correct number of documents in the database, but when try to

view any of the fields (via script) with the documents they are all blank.

I can’t even get enough of a handle on the documents to delete them

either.

Anyone seen this before or know of any possible solutions on how I can

view or get a handle on this hidden documents?

TIA,

Tim E Brown

Subject: Hidden Documents

somebody told me in this forum that after deleting hundreds of documents the unread mark counter get out of sync (perhaps after archiving). You can find this documents by

Edit->Unread marks->Search unread documents

When there are no more unreaded docs the counter is in sync again.

If you know that you have read all docs you can do it faster with

Edit->Unread marks->mark all as read

it would be nice to know your current version

in mailtemplates before 6.51 and 6.04 the replication of unread mark doesn´t work.

Hi Tim,your view index could eventually need an update. What you can try: get the collection, pump it through an DXLexporter and see what you get.
