Help with custom error pages

Hi;

I’ve created some custom error pages for my server so that they don’t send back any server specific errors to the browser. This is one of the steps required to harden our servers.

It works fine if i type into the bowser “dnsname.mycompany.com” however, if i type in the IP address of the same server I get the generic error message complete with Server info.

Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

I Believe if you go to Configuration → Web → Internet sites

Go under the document where you have the redirect.

Under hostnames, i you have something like “blah.blah.com”, then hit enter, and add in the IP address you need.

I believe that will fix your problem

Thats the thing i didn’t set up a redirect. just created a custom error form in the domcfg database.
