Hello,i want to create a search string for my FTSearch. but i do not know how we can do the same.Please help me to create the same search string.

Actully I have 4 fields on my form .

LOTNUMBER & DEPT & STARTDATE & ENDDATE

this will be my search critaria, but i can’t be able to create that string, also prob. to filter the document between 2 date

as i have told, i have 4 field StartDate & EndDate(ON SEACH FORM). i have a field called creation date on my (Main form) so i have a date along with all documents, plz help me to build this search string Plzzzzzzzzzzzz give me some code coz i really do not abt to build this string i will be very thankful to you alll.

i want to create like this then only i can pass it in Db.FTsearch(searchstring$,0)

searchstring$=LOTNUMBER & DEPT & STARTDATE & ENDDATE

i m using ftsesrch coz i need to find that string in attachments also.plz plzzzzzzzz give me some code for this.

Sample search code:

searchstring = “field confirmationsubmitteddate >”+reportfrom +" and field confirmationsubmitteddate <"+reportto

searchstring= searchstring +" and field incidenttype contains Event"

searchstring= searchstring +" and field Actions does not contain exclude from stats  "

searchstring = searchstring + " and field SAEReportType contains Confirmation "

BUT***** there does appear to be a limit as to how much you can put into the search string. I have found that it sometimes loses one or more of the selection criteria.
