Have a look at Roles and Groups in the Notes help. If the list of people who have access to something is constantly changing, your best bet is to set a Role or (to a lesser extent) a Group to have access to that resource. From there, you can change who is in that Role (or Group) and it will propagate to all resources that are open to that Role (or Group).

File > Database > Access Control > Advanced. Set up the Administration Server and let it modify the readers and authors fields for you. This will happen on an AdminP schedule, but I’m not sure what the frequency is. The Designer or Administrator help should tell you.

what does “i am new to Lotus script.” have to do with updating fields ?
are you trying to update the fields using Lotus script? Then just run it against every doc in the database…
do you need assistance generating the Lotus script to do that? your question does not indicate that.
read the usage guidelines. you should only be asking a question AFTER a reasonable attempt to find the information on your own --------- try searching this forum on readers fields - what you are trying to do has probably already been answered — about 5000 times or more …

So you have an LS agent going through a bunch of documents updating the values in Readers fields???
Sounds like you need Roles (and Groups). What happens if your agent stuffs up the value in the readers field? Whoops, there goes your document, invisible to everyone!
