Can I some how limit the displayed file name to fit it in a set column width?or
Turn on a “word wrap” so the icon width is managable?
If there is an old answer for this, or “No answer” Please let me know. Thanks.

Subject: The question is a little vague…
It sounds like you’re talking about a Notes view. I don’t know whether you mean in a Domino web application or in the Notes client. You start by asking about controlling the size of an icon, but then you start talking about the filename. I’m not sure exactly what your question is.
If this is a Notes client app, I don’t know what you mean by “limit the displayed file name to fit”. The columns are the width you set them; if something is too long it is truncated. Isn’t that limiting it to fit? If you want text to wrap in a column to extra lines if needed, set the view properties to multiple lines per view entry, then tick “Shrink content” so the extra lines won’t be displayed unless they’re needed.
If this is a Domino web application, control of view column widths is precise if you use the view applet, but if you display the view as HTML then your browser will decide how wide to make the columns if it doesn’t like the way the data are fitting into them.
