I have read all posts in this forum about using LtpaToken but it is really difficult to obtain some result if you are new on this subject like me.

Is there some complete documentation which explains clearly:

  • Logic of LtpaToken (How it works)

  • What we should do to use this method on Domino 6.0.1 and Tomcat 4.x (not only websphere) (configuration or settings on servers)

  • How use this method in applications

  • At least one example.

and finally why I can’t find any satisfying and actual information about this subject on IBM SITE (There is only one article published on January 2001).

Any help will be appreciated.

There is some documentation (though I don’t remember where I saw it) on how the token works - in general. The LtpaToken is proprietary - it only works with IBM stuff. There are people trying to crack the token so that it can be used with non-Websphere app servers. So far, I don’t think anyone has had any luck.

In summary, IBM will tell you how to set up LTPA between Domino and Websphere, but nothing beyond that. If you want to use LTPA with Tomcat, make sure you have a nice soft wall to bash your head against.
