Dear All, we need to implement an additional email domain in our Domino V12 server. I have found some documentation in terms of the configuration that needs to take place in Domino (see below)

What I could not find anywhere is from a user perspective (Notes client) how can a user chooses the "sender" email ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Haris,
Please check if below information helps.
-If a Notes Client user sends a message to the internet, the reply address will be formed by the "Internet Address" field in the location document.
-If this field in the location document is blank, or the sender is using a browser to access their mail (i.e. DWA or Webmail), then the router will look at the Global Domain Document.
-If the "Internet Address Lookup" field is enabled, the router will form the reply address from the internet address listed in the Person Document.
-If the "Internet Address" field is blank in the person document, or the Global Domain Document does not have "Internet Address Lookup" enabled then the router will construct the reply address with the settings defined in the Global Domain Document.

I recall reading a post that in V12 there might be a way ? For example in V12 for the mail-in databases you can choose an alternative name/address in the "From"

I remember setting this parameter in Notes.ini on the Domino server overwrites the Internet address defined in the client with that of the personal document.
RouterTranslateSpecial=1
Maybe this is what you requested?

Hi Haris, maybe check if this meets your needs. In the notes client, if you are using StdR12Mail template 12.0.2 (10/20/2022), in a new mail memo document, click the Display button and make sure Sender Information is selected. Then, in your new memos going forward, a "From" field shows up underneath subject. If you click on that (you may need to "Refresh Names") then you should have all the email addresses available from the Short name/UserID field on the person doc.
