We need to test the availability of a Domino 7 server from a Linux box in the same LAN. Domino is also running on a (different) Linux box. We just need to find out whether the Domino server is still available or whether it is not answering any more.
On the box used to do the monitoring, there is no Domino or Notes installed, so the monitoring should preferrebly be performed with a Linux script or other tools running on Linux.
I am sure others have already solved this problem, but couldn’t find hints in the forum.
