Problem/Query: I see this warning for one user: Traveler: WARNING User [ID] folder information was going to exceed the max column size of 32672 bytes, so folder information is being lost and will be rebuilt from this point forward. Any limits for folder name length / special characters?
Open the user’s mailbox. Look through the folders.
Is there a folder name that is very long?
Is there a folder with special characters in it? Rules for creating folder names
Is there a folder with too many docs in it?
Hi st060557,
The HCL traveler stores push flags both at the top-level mailbox and per-folder, but each folder uses 6 bytes and the push table has a maximum column width. If a user has many folders that aren’t being synced, the per-folder push flags may be discarded while top-level flags are retained.
This does not affect syncing, as folder-level flags will rebuild as folders sync. Subscribing to other folders typically triggers a sync, which clears and rebuilds the push flags. This behavior only affects push notifications, not syncs or resyncs.
No action is needed unless a user is actively syncing over 5,000 folders or is experiencing actual device issues. In that case, please collect client and server logs and we recommend opening a support case.

Is there a folder name that is very long?
“… Subfolder names have a 130-byte limitation, which includes the backslash (\) character. “ - what encoding used?
Is there a folder with special characters in it? - Yes , I told him to fix
Is there a folder with too many docs in it? - how many?
User complains that notes client doesn’t control folder name length and special characters
Hi Pjesguerra04I,
I need some clarification. Folder count is less than 5k, but Traveler’s log is full of these messages. It will continue logging until folder names are fixed, right?
