Our current domino server version is Release 12.0.2FP5 HF13
Question is in order to install FP6, do i need to uninstall HF13 or can i install directly top on it? if so FP6 includes the mail routing and rules issue which addressed on this HF13
You can install FP6 without uninstalling HF13. To be on the safeside , just install FP5 again, which will make the installed HF ineffective any way. After that install the relevant HF for FP6 if available.
I have tested it on multiple versions.
Remember installing the FP6 will make the installed HF 13 ineffective.
The relevant HF will need to be installed after that in case the functinality is not built into the FP being installed. Check if an HF is indeed available for FP 6 . If not, you dont need to do anything after installing FP6. Otherwise install the HF for FP6.
Installing domino v 12.0.2 first followed by FP6 will also have the same effect.
If you want to install Domino 12.0.2 FP6 on Domino 12.0.2 FP5 HF13, we request you to rerun the installer of the 12.0.2 FP5 HF13 to remove the existing HF13.
Once you start the server and run the "show server" command, you will find the version is Domino 12.0.2 FP5. Shut down the Domino server and install Domino 12.0.2FP6.
To install FixPack on HF installed Domino server, You should uninstall the existing HF and then install the Fixpack. If you don't uninstall the existing HF13, FP6 installation does not proceed with the message as on below screenshot.
Since FP 6 was released on Mar 5 2025, it should not need a separate HF. So just installing v 12.0.2 followed by FP6 should do the trick. Or uninstalling hf13 followed by fp6 should be ok. Havent tested though
The documentation for FP 6 as all other FPs explicitly mentions that any FP will include :
All updates from previous FP of same feature release stream - Any hot fix "proven" since the last FP - Selected high-quality fixes using Interim Fix (IF) selection criteria in use today - Security patches including JVM updates
So you should not need any separate HF for FP6 as it came out on 05 Mar 2025 and HF13 is of an older vintage.
