HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 223 (All Versions)

  • Ability to change the context root or hostname of a virtual portal – Administrators can now change the context root or hostname of an existing virtual portal.
  • User Session Reporting Tool – A User Session Reporting Tool is available for DX customers deployed to on-premises platforms. It provides an integrated capability to track and report user session usage in DX sites, which can assist platform capacity planning.
  • New guidance for creating a custom login portlet – Developers can apply new guidance to create a custom login portlet for HCL Digital Experience (DX) to offer custom features after capturing the required security credentials.

HCL Digital Experience 8.5 and 9 versions

  • Extended Support option now available for DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 – Customers who may not be able to update from DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 version 9.5 by June 30, 2025 can sign up for an Extended Support option. The Extended Support option will be offered from June 30, 2025 until June 30, 2026.
  • Automatically apply 9.5 from a later CF installation – Administrators can speed upgrading to the latest DX 9.5 version from V8.5 & 9 using the CF Update process, now set as the default (configurable) setting.

Digital Experience 9.5 Container Version

  • New sizing guidance for rendering in a Kubernetes small configuration - This guidance presents the key performance indicators (KPIs) and how adjustments to the pod configuration can make improvements in the responsiveness of the system.
  • DX core image - Moved directories to temporary storage - To improve system performance, the wstemp and binaryValues directories are now created in the temporary storage
  • DX Search - File processor - The file processor node is added to the OpenSearch features, and runs text extraction to provide full text search
  • Updated documentation for new OpenSearch deployment settings – New guidance is available for administrators and content owners to configure commonly applied settings such as security, split deployment, replicas, automated setup for DAM, allowlist for file types processed, processor, field mappings, and Persistent Volume size requests.
  • Guidance for configuring a Remote Search content source to gather documents from a single pod - Updated documentation presents a new option on how to configure a content source to gather documents from a single pod.
  • Configuring IMDS hop limit in Amazon EKS v1.30 – New guidance presents steps for setting the Instance Metadata Service (IMDS) limits to improve operations stability.
