HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 221 (All Versions)

  • TinyMCE Rich Text Editor – Menu options for in-place editing are now similar to WCM authoring, adding consistency for content authors
  • Progress indication for XMLAccess - Administrators can enable new tracing option to see the progress of XMLAccess in updating input script items
  • Progress indication for syndication - Administrators can now log the syndication progress on the subscriber and track the syndication process status
  • Web Content Manager REST API V2 – Developers have new options to set a cache header, also to retrieve multiple content items through a list of UUIDs
  • Web Content Manager REST API V2 – Developers can optionally invoke a new API and update integrated OpenAI ChatGPT to the latest model gpt-4o, for sentiment analysis, keyword extraction, and auto summarization.
  • SEO tag configuration for Open Graph compatibility – Administrators and site managers can now enable this function which can improve the parsing of DX website’s content by social networks or search engines.
  • New options to access and install the DXClient tool - Developers and release managers have new flexibility to deploy DXClient from the NpmJS public registry or from the container image in the public Harbor repository.

HCL Digital Experience 8.5 and 9 versions

  • DX CF updates to apply DX 9.5 to an 8.5/9.0 installation enabled by default beginning with CF222 – For easier updates to DX v9.5, a feature was recently introduced to enable this process during a CFupdate. Starting with the next DX release, CF222, this feature will be enabled by default, with the option to disable.

Digital Experience 9.5 Container Version

  • Practitioner Studio - Support in Virtual Portals Administrators can now create virtual Portals in K8s deployments that will contain Practitioner Studio.
  • HCL DX Cloud Native v9.5 is now available on the AWS marketplace - This allows customers with AWS accounts to simplify procurement and download HCL Digital Experience Cloud Native 9.5 and latest CF updates through their account
  • New Samesite cookie parameter to configure with HAProxy networking – Administrators can configure this new support which can strengthen platform security by preventing cookies from being sent to other sites
  • New documentation about the types of Services used in DX – Administrators can work with the Services API and methods for exposing a network application running as one or more Pods in a DX K8s cluster
  • Digital Asset Management – Indexing and search with OpenSearch – Administrators can configure Digital Asset Management (DAM) indexing and enable search via OpenSearch
  • The DX Harbor repository is updated with an OCI-based registry and OCI-compliant Helm chart – Administrators can work with new guidance to pull DX Helm charts using OCI commands from the Harbor repository.
  • Deprecation notice for the OpenLDAP container - Administrators are provided with new options to use the robust and well maintained Bitnami© OpenLDAP image.
