HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 229 (All Versions)
- HCL DX software is now available through the new My HCLSoftware portal for customers licensed for HCL Digital Experience offerings. My HCLSoftware portal replaces the HCLSoftware License & Download portal as of June 30, 2025. Also see the HCL Support Knowledge Article
- Blueprint design system – The Blueprint design system is a collection of modern, reusable components and templates, and out of box sample “Nex Haven” site that help designers and developers apply best practices to highly relevant experiences across touchpoints and accelerate DX site implementations with reduced TCO (total cost of ownership).
- Presentation Designer - Default and Override stylesheets. New foundational and override stylesheet options enable designers to quickly design and customize styles for specific elements. These stylesheets support the handling of type selectors and class selectors.
- TinyMCE Enhanced Rich Text Editor - Additional toolbar configuration settings for add ease of use services for web content authors
- User Session Reporting Tool - Command-line parameter revisions enable administrators to apply environment configuration variables
- Notice of deprecation of the CKEditor Rich Text Editor - The CKEditor Rich Text Editor component in HCL DX is deprecated in August, 2025 and will reach End of Support (EOS) in August, 2026.
- Notice of deprecation of the Woodburn Studio demo site - The Woodburn Studio demo site in HCL DX is deprecated in August, 2025 and will reach End of Support (EOS) in August, 2026.
HCL Digital Experience 8.5 and 9 versions
- HCL DX software is now available through the new My HCLSoftware portal for customers licensed for HCL Digital Experience offerings. My HCLSoftware portal replaces the HCLSoftware License & Download portal as of June 30, 2025. Also see the HCL Support Knowledge Article
- Extended Support option is available for DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 – Customers who may not be able to update from DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 version 9.5 by June 30, 2025 can sign up for an Extended Support option. The Extended Support option will be offered from June 30, 2025 until June 30, 2026.
Automatically apply 9.5 from a later CF installation – Administrators can speed upgrading to the latest DX 9.5 version from V8.5 & 9 using the CF Update process, now set as the default (configurable) setting.
HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 229 (K8s deployments)
- Access Layer updates in DX deployments – Updated guidance to integrate external Access Layer with HAProxy, serving as an internal reverse proxy and load balancer. Details include how to effectively leverage external access solutions for robust traffic management.
- Ingress updates in DX deployments– The Ingress guidance is updated with current best practices and common configuration scenarios.
- Gateway API documentation – Administrators can consult this new guidance that details use as an optional, modern alternative to Ingress for managing external access to cluster services.
- DAM - Cancel ongoing uploads through the progress bar– DX practitioners can now optionally cancel folder or individual file uploads that are in-progress.
- DAM - Collection sorting – DX practitioners can sort collections and their asset contents in Grid and List views to find them more efficiently.
- Integrating HCL Leap and HCL Volt MX Foundry with HCL DX – Administrators can leverage new guidance to configure Access Layers for HCL Leap and HCL Volt MX Foundry integration with HCL DX using the Gateway API
- Search V2 Authoring – Content authors can optionally delete items from the authoring environment search results to refine relevance.
- Updated IBM WebSphere, JDK levels and iFix – This release updates to WebSphere Application Server 9.0.5.24 and Java Development Kit 8.0.8.45 .
HCL Digital Experience Compose v9.5 is separately available lightweight, fast performing, cloud–only digital experience platform for delivering content-centric and transactional experiences. DX Compose includes a core container called WebEngine that is built on the Open Liberty platform and operates on Certified Kubernetes platforms. This architecture supports fast startup and execution times to deliver high-performance DX sites and is capable of using the latest Java Development Kit (JDK) and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) levels.

HCL Digital Experience Compose 9.5 CF 229 (K8s deployments)
HCL Digital Experience Compose v9.5 CF229 adds many of the new capabilities available with DX CF 229 Container update, and:
- SSL connections for Oracle in WebEngine – Administrators can apply added security with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) database connections for use with Oracle in the WebEngine server
SSL secured sites for Web Application Bridge (WAB) - Administrators can configure the Web Application Bridge (WAB) to integrate with external websites secured by self-signed certificates to the truststore, adding greater security control.

HCL Leap 9.3.10
- Leap 9.3.10 is now available with new features and updates. These include a Header credentials provider, extension point for custom validation, and additional updates to further tune and customize Leap applications and management.
