We have been having a problem for a while which I have yet to resolve and for which I have not found a solution here in the Forum.
We have a web portal (using Notes/Domino). From there people can access numerous Notes databases as well as their email. Most of the databases are read-only access for now, their email being a notable exception.
A few months ago we installed and started using Netegrity to provide SSO access. Immediately, some (but not all) users started having problems in their email database. They would be composing an email and when they hit the Send button, Domino would forget who they were and give an authentication error. Netegrity does not forget who the user is. Only Domino has forgets. The problem almost exclusively happens in the user’s email database and though it can happen with many of the functions they perform (i.e., clicking a button), it most often happens when they hit the Send button.
This is a highly non-reproducable problem. Some users experience consistently and others do not have a problem. There are two users who share the same computer, but only one of them experiences this problem.
I have checked many different theories, from browser settings to versions of the email template to too many persistent cookies from the same domain. Currently I am investigating the presence/absences of the DOMAuthSessId temporary cookie, but that is more to confirm what I already suspect, that this cookie gets lost from memory.
Any ideas? If you need more information that I have forgotten to include, let me know.
