Have to re-apply latest JVM patch after upgrade to 901FP7

I have just upgraded one of our test Windows Domino Servers from 901FP6 HF310 to 901FP7.

Uninstalled the Hotfix - back to 901FP6

Installed domino901FP7_w64.exe now at 901FP7

I am now used to typing sh jvm after an install and did it by habit, but was surprised at the result.

JVM had been reverted to SR16 FP20

Stopped the Services and had to reapply the latest JVM Patch to get back to SR16 FP30.

Strange thing - The ‘Congratulations’ message at the end of upgrade to 901FP7 stated that the JVM had not been upgraded.

Subject: Is the issue related to uninstalling the hot fix?

I’ve noticed that uninstalling a hot fix has sometimes resulted in back-revving of the JVM version. I’ve encountered this with previous hot fixes such as FP3 and FP4. This may have happened when you uninstalled the hot fix and before you applied FP7. It would be expected that FP7 would see that you are now on an older JVM version, and upgrade JVM accordingly.

Subject: Mine shows SR16FP30 after upgrading

I was at FP6 before, not sure if I had a hot fix. But, after putting on FP7 I still have the latest Java version.

This morning on a 32-bit machine I uninstalled FP6 and installed FP7 without issue - when complete JVM reported as SR16 FP30. I’ll watch this evening when I upgrade my 64-bit machines…

Upgraded 5 different 64-bit machines - uninstalled FP6 & Installed FP7 - all report SR16 FP30.
