Hi team.

Hope everyone is doing great.

Have anyone managed how to make the mobile client to always keep alive ? At least in Android ? Like WhatsApp or other apps.

Currently, you need to keep the HCL Sametime App being constantly monitored/being opened, as after some time, it will disconnect and login needs to be done in a constant basis.

It has a setting to Remain Online; currently it was 1 week (which is the largest value it allows), but it will disconnect on the same day several times if you don't keep an eye on it.

Automatic login is set.

Remember password is set

Connect at launch is set

For battery, it is set to Unrestricted.

Appear on top is set

Is there anything I must be missing at OS level ?

Or would this be within the proper app code ?

I understand that if the app itself gets an update or the OS itself gets an update, they will get closed and it might need to be re-open, but then the inquiry: how does the setting "Connect at launch" work (at least for OS update) ?

Hi Elvis, I agree with you: customers don't use Sametime mobile because they expect exactly the same operation as Whatsapp but unfortunately it isn't so.

I've never been able to keep Sametime Mobile alive endlessly: if you succeed please let me know... ;-)
