Has anyone seen this strange behavior?--user clicks on message on inbox and it becomes selected in the selection margin

I have never seen this issue before, so i though I would post here before I call IBM.

I have a user that I just upgraded to Notes 7.0.3. Whenever he tries to click on a message in his inbox, it becomes selected in the selection margin, even if he doesn’t click in the selection margin. All he has to do is click the document and it will put a checkmark next to it.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? I thought it might be a preference of some kind, but I couldn’t find a preference that corresponded to the behavior.

If anyone has seen this and knows how to fix it, let me know.

A long shot, but is the user’s shift key stuck in some manner? I’ve had this happen before…a dumb “physical” thing that looked like a software issue. :slight_smile:

Is the problem consistent? Or does it work correctly the next time he clicks on a document?

This sounds like a typical Windows/Notes problem I see. Sometimes, when I click on something in a Properties box, whatever is behind the box gets activated. This usually happens when I first open the Properties box by clicking the SmartIcon. After that, I click somewhere in the box, but a SmartIcon gets activated. Sounds like it could be similar.

I have this problem in 7.0.3, but I think it was around in 7.0.2, too.
