I think this has been discussed in this forum. Notes will recognize and render pass-thru html. CSS resources apply to Notes elements. The two don’t mix - use one or the other.
If you want to use pass-thru html, you can use inline style attribute in the html tag, e.g.
text
. Or try using element in the pass-thru html to reference an external css file to get the benefit of having the style defined in one place. I haven’t tried that, but should work.
Or you can use CSS resources as you have described.
I assuming you included a link to the html in the HTML header on the form? The notes client won’t pick this up. You’ll find if you put the css directly on the form this will change the style of the text in the client.
I tried inserting the CSS on the HTML header file and directly in the document. It’s placement does not seem to matter for other tags like table and cell tags. They continue to work but no matter what I do, I cannot get the text size of the
tag does have an effect on text in the client. It is just that css does not have an effect on the tag.
Classic Note’s styles would not be an answer as they cannot be easily shared amont databases and I think it would really be confusing to have some styles in CSS an other’s in the classic settings.
What I have done for now is to place the text in a layer (maps to a div) and set the class id of the div to a div class within my css.
tag is translated into rich text, it has an impact, but after that, it does not have an impact. Since the CSS is used after the translation, the CSS doesn’t know what to do with the
tag. Your solutions sounds like a reasonable approach.
