Group name in Readers field

Hi all,

I need help on Readers field on R6.0.

I copied database design only from server to local. select some documents from server database and copy them to local.

The document has Readers field which include group name which I belong and working properly on servers, however in copied local document

the readers filed seems not to have my user name, I can not access it.

I made sure readers flag is set inn server documents. I tried command [ToolsRefreshSelectedDocs], but didn’t help me.

When I specify my canonical name in the field on server document and copy it to local, this works fine.

Thank you in advance.

Yoshi

Subject: Group name in Readers field

For a group name to be authenticated locally it needs to be in the local names.nsf, not on the server.

Also, when testing security locally you should make sure you have the ACL “enforce a consistent ACL” setting checked. Be careful with this that you have explicit manager access first, as once you have that on, you can’t get back in without a valid entry in the ACL, there is no local security workaround.

Hi Laurette,Thank you for the reply.

I added the group to my local names.nsf but

did not work.

I copied database design without ACL and modify

ACL in local database. This worked fine.

ACL seems to be corrupted.

Cheers,
