Google Desktop Not Showing Notes Documents

As described in http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllThreadedWeb/6d67a55512dc0714852577bc005142d9?OpenDocument, I was able to get Google Desktop for Notes to index my local Notes databases. However, Google Search does not show any hits for keywords that I know exist in all the indexed databases. Google Search is showing hits for keywords in filenames, paths and file contents.

I see that Notes is an option under Advanced Search, but selecting this option still shows no hits.

I checked to see if the Google Desktop index had been created under my admin account. Although the folders exist, there was only one file (hes.evt).

Any suggestions on how to diagnose this problem? I reported it to Google but have not heard back.

PS. I am using the browser UI to Google Search, rather than invoking it from within Notes search. My objective is a comprehensive search tool that works against all data on my laptop.

Subject: Searching Google Desktop Within Notes

I tested using the Notes search box to access GDS. When Notes is run as an admin user, I get no hits at all (see screenshot http://sinet.ca/files/GDSNotes4.JPG). When Notes is run as a standard user, I see the files that GDS has indexed (see screenshot http://sinet.ca/files/GDSNotes3.JPG) but still do not see any hits within Notes databases.

In the first case, Notes is running under my ‘nhadmin’ account, the only way that I can get GDS for Notes to index Notes databases. I checked the Google Desktop folder for that account and found only one file.

GDS for Notes claims it indexed my mail file after I created a new document but I cannot find where the index is maintained. The only file that has an updated time is uinfo.dat in my standard user Google Desktop folder structure.

Subject: LN 8.5.2 - Google not showing any hits

Hi

I’m having the exact same problem. *.nsf is indexed, but no hits when I search for x,y,z.

Does anybody have a solution?
