Gmail emails shown as "MIME content for this item is stored in attachment $RFC822.eml"

Hi

Earlier it was Microsoft Outlook and Exchange who caused incorrect mime. Now users receive $RFCxxx.eml files from GMAIL too.

MIME content for this item is stored in attachment $RFC822.eml. Parsing MIME content failed: Incorrect format in MIME data.

Any known workaround ?

Regards

Subject: Format Preference

Have you checked your format preference in the person document?

Under the Basics tab, mail section there is a field for the format preference for incoming mail.

I would suggest “Keep in senders’ format” but Prefers MIME and Prefers Rich Text are the other two options.

Have not seen the problem from gmail accounts, but typically when I’ve seen this from Outlook/Exchange it’s been due to the way the Outlook user has setup the contact for the Notes user. They seem to get confused and assume they’re sending to another Outlook client so having them change their settings to send in something other than HTML would usually do the trick.

I suspect smtp antivirus gateway could corrupt mime, I will check that.
