I have three reported incidents about ghost recipients.Which is, a name is come from nowhere into recipients field. User swear that they not included the name into recipients field.
So when user put A, B, C into recipients field, suddenly it change into A, B, C, D or A, B, D.
First time, I ignore it. Big possibility user error. But when the third time, it’s give me question… is it a virus or a spam?
All user that reported this problem use windows XP, server R6.03, client mostly use R6.01.

Is it possible that the user has a group with the same name as one of the recipients? In other words, the user addresses the e-mail to A, B and C. Where C is the name of a group that resolves to C’ and D. (C’ is a variant of C)

That the first thing I checked.I check in their local address book if they have a similiar name or even the same name with different email address.
And I found none.
Sure they can delete it after knowing that they make mistake (some of the email sent to our biggest competitor :)).
