msmail(.mmf)-> outlook(.pst/.pab)-> notes(.nsf)
You’re using the MS Mail/MS Outlook(98/2000) to Notes Upgrade Wizard (Nupgrade 3), the one that comes with R6.0.1 to migrate MS Outlook personal folders/address to Notes.
Issue:
Running nupgrade 3, the Notes upgrade wizard, it crashes with an NSD popup/error/crash. You notice only a few addresses have been migrated to the local names.nsf and no messages migrated.
However, if you choose the custom method and uncheck “Outlook Contacts and PABs” so only messages are migrated, the NSD popup/error is gone and messages are migrated ok (e.g. pst to nsf)
On further investigation of the Outlook PAB file it was found one contact (out of 840) in address.pab was the cause of the NSD popup/error/crash. The one contact contained a comma “,” at the end of the display name field.
For example, John Smith, <-note the comma at the end.
Work around until fixed in next R.:
Open Outlook go into it’s Address Book and open the properties for the one contact and remove the comma and save it, then rerun wizard. May take a while to find the one Outlook contact that has the comma on the end.
