I wanted an overview of the in-app notification functionality using Kony 8
What kind of features are available?
Can we create different templates of notifications – floating top of screen, full page, bottom of screen, alert
Can we include rich text – images, videos, external links
What categories of in-app notifications are available
Automated
Scheduled
Broadcast
Segmented – based on user information/user action
Trigger based
For sending out notifications typically we use attributes for users and events – these can be configured based on requirement. Do we have the same capability available for Kony?
Can we include CTA(s) in the notifications? If yes, can these be deep-linked?
Can we do A/B testing
What kind of reporting will we be getting from Kony?
Currently Inapp notifications are not supported in the engagement platform of Kony. We are considering this feature for the next release however this has not been finalized yet.
The next release is around mid Jan of next year. I would like to re-iterate that the scope for this release is not locked in yet. Though in-app notifications are being considered, we do not know for sure if this will make it to the next release yet.
Also I believe there have been discussions to move SBI to the latest version of the product on the cloud? Can you please let us know where we are with this ? It might be a good idea to consider this now if not already done.
that means , you guys are not supporting in-app notifications in Kony 8 and will be planning to roll out in Jan 2019 ? yes we will be starting to migrate to Kony 8 soon.
