Full text indexing error

Hi, I’m a developer and our Domino admin is gone fishing and cannot be contacted.

One of our databases, Requirements.nsf has a indexing problem.

The log error says :

“03/15/2004 11:58:31 PM Error full text indexing document NT00028CA2 D:\Lotus\Domino\Data\Requirements.ft (rc=3857) Full text error; see log for more information”

Which log ? This line is from the server’s log.nsf . What other log I need to look at ?

I understand that .ft folder contains the index of the Requiremenst.nsf database. I can try and delete it, but I’m sure that’s not gonna solve my problem.

I created a view by Note id but I couldn’t find the document with NT00028CA2 notes id.

Next line is even more confusing (to me at least):

“03/15/2004 11:58:31 PM Error full text indexing Requirements.Nsf: Full text error from Topic”

Anyone has any idea what that is and what to do ?

I’m struggling to fix that and the db is hanging. I don’t know how long I will rely on the other replica of the cluster.

I know a solution could be to delete the db and create a replica of the replica. But I can do that after hours only.

TIA,

Daniel

Instead of deleting the .ft folder use the icon & file>database>Properties OR the Admin client to delete the full text index. Let Notes do the delete. Then create it again.

Another thing. If you have the admin client you can use it to locate the doc by noteID. Open the Admin client, the server, the Files tab. Right-click on the database and choose Find Note. Cohose “by Notes ID” and paste in the ID MINUS the “NT” at the beginning. It will give you what is basically the doc properties. You can use that to get enough info to locate the doc in your database.
