I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself on the forum. My name is Jason, from Frameworks Consulting and Training in Trevose, PA. The need in the job market today to acquire certifications is very strong. I personally worked as an IT recruiter with Mainline Personnel and contacted companies on a regular basis, filling jobs and speaking with hiring managers. More than nearly 60% of the jobs I worked on required that the candidate have a certification in a certain field and the company would not consider an individual unless they had that degree. I also would never have come across a candidate's resume unless the certification was listed on it, due to keyword searches on Monster. Companies themselves selected employees to keep on board during layoffs based upon who had certs and who did not. So I can't stress enough how beneficial it is to gain that qualification for employment.
