User creates a private group, for example 5 people in customer service. Calls the group CS. Contains Tom, Dick, Harry, Mary and Jane. Prior to FP8 she sends email out to CS and the To: got expanded to all the recipients. A recipient could to a “reply to all” and continue the conversation. Upon installation of FP8 it no longer expands the group. One of the recipients tries to do a ‘reply to all’ and gets an invalid address for CS.

According to IBM they will: “be creating an enhancement request for this issue so that the developers can review this for possible fix in future releases.”
Subject: Code modification
We looked at the logic in F9 and implemented that automatically in the Send.
Subject: Workaround: Press F9 to expand the group
The workaround is to press F9 to expand the group before pressing send.
Subject: You can override it in delivery options
I like having it suppressed by default because of people who abuse reply-all.
Subject: oops maybe it’s different in FP8
I’m on FP7.
Subject: Hm. It’s a bug, though.
Wonder why they’d mismark it for an enhancement: private groups are by design, not publicized to other people.
Consider what you’d reveal by creating a group, “Managers like Hitler”. They’re revealing private information to the world.
