If a user has a forwarding address set in the domino directory, the Notes client resolves it instead of the internet address.
How can I configure it not to do this?
You can't: The client will always resolve users to their "final" address as far as the client can "see". So if the client finds the Domino directory entry, it will read the fields and return the "corresponding" mail- address, and that is the forwarding address.
But: What is your "real" problem that you want to solve?
The real problem to hide the forward address.
Once you setup the notes resolve is and appears in reply. When you turned off the forwarding some recipients may responding to the forward address.
Verse: resolving the original address, not the forwarding.
Webmail: resolving the original address, not the forwarding.
Other mail systems: Outlook with Exchange resolving the original address, not the forwarding.
A forwarding address is not meant to be "transparent". Whenever there is one, the users will be informed about it and use it with their "reply to all", etc.
This does not change for Verse or Webmail: Although it might look differently in the "Sent" view of the sender, the mail will still be routed to the forwarding address and when using "reply to all" the reply will be send to the forward address.
Well do it another way (as Torsten said, I don't see where the problem is but...):
1/ Create a mail rule in his mailfile to send a copy of received mails to the forwarding address
2/ Remove the forwarding address in the person document in names (do a sh nlcache reset on domino console)
Pitfall: doing this if a user wants to invite him the guy will be always available (because the user will never add info into his calendar as he is not using notes client), it you set a forwarding address he will not be available
Hello @Levente Gyorvari
When forwarding address set in the person document, all mails marked to mentioned user will be sent to this forwarded address.
So, while trying to lookup mentioned user ID while sending mail, his forwarding address will be shown. We apologize, but there is no option to block the lookup of forwarding address.

Pramod
FYI, existing enhancement request for this.
